Valpo Parks Foundation Celebrates Friends & Legends

The annual Friends & Legends reception was held on Thursday, October 5, 2023, to honor those who lend support and volunteer to aid in the mission of the Valpo Parks Foundation.

The Art & Irene Malasto Legends Award is presented to give recognition and appreciation to an individual or business who has provided extraordinary support on a consistent basis over time through volunteer service, leadership, and/or gifts of financial support.  The Legendary Friend Award is presented to a "friend" that has supported and/or promoted the Valpo Parks system in a significant way through donating his or her time, talent, and/or treasure.  The Community Champion Award serves to honor a relatively new resident, young person or family in the community who significantly supports Valpo Parks through their volunteerism, leadership, and philanthropy.

2023 award recipients are:

Community Champion Award – Matt Evans
