FRIENDS & LEGENDS

"Celebrating Friends & Legends" reception is held each year to honor those who lend support and volunteer to aid in the mission of the Foundation. The "Art & Irene Malasto Legends Award" is presented to give recognition and appreciation to a person or business that has supported the Valpo Parks in a significant way through volunteer service, leadership, and/or gifts of financial support. The "Community Champion" Award serves to honor someone who demonstrates leadership and stewardship in the community.

LIP SYNC BATTLE IN THE PARK

The Annual Party in the Park was back in Central Park Plaza this year and it did not disappoint. Community members from around town were asked to perform a lip sync’d song to raise money for the Valpo Parks Foundation as we support the Parks Fee Assistance Program which helps underprivileged youth to participate in Valpo Parks programming, like Discovery Day Camp and Youth Sports. Participants pulled out all the stops with costumes, hilarious dances and performances that brought the house down!
