2026 Valpo Parks Foundation Board Members Announced
The Valpo Parks Foundation proudly welcomes three new members to the Board of Directors for 2026: Drew Sarkisian, Josh Schoon, and John Scott. Each brings a strong commitment to serving and enriching the Valparaiso community.
Drew Sarkisian is the owner of Modern Edge LLC, bringing her talents in event planning and business management to the Foundation.
Josh Schoon works for Berglund Construction as the Director of the Indiana Region. Josh is a natural leader with a love of community and a willingness to step in to help however he can.
John Scott is the Founder and Brand Strategist of Scott Creative Company. John’s creative mind and inquisitive nature will be an asset to the Foundation.
“The Valpo Parks Foundation is excited to welcome our new board members. We look forward to the fresh perspectives they will bring in achieving our goals,” remarked Valpo Parks Foundation President Tim VerSchure.
The appointed Foundation Officers for 2026 are: President Tim VerSchure, Vice President Brandi Anstine, Vice President Maggie Clifton, Treasurer Melanie Steider, and Secretary Kerry Walker.
The Valpo Parks Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to Linda Eyermann as she departs the Board of Directors, a position she has held since 2018. Linda’s impactful contributions spanned the Marketing Committee and the Party in the Park committee. Her invaluable artistic charity work is visible throughout the community: she painted playground elements at ValPlayso on two separate occasions, created decorations for Foundation events like Party in the Park and the Friends & Legends Reception, and designed artistic skateboards that were raffled for the Flounder & Friends Skatepark fundraising campaign, to name a few. We are deeply grateful for her invaluable dedication and creativity.
The Valpo Parks Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides opportunities for the community to support the continuing legacy of high-quality experiences provided by Valpo Parks. For information on how to get involved, contact Tracy Betustak at 219-462-5144.
